Women Who Water Well #3

This month on Woman At The Well I’m celebrating women who’ve watered me well.

Celebrating: Sarah. 🥳

Sarah is not only my friend but she’s also my pastor, an office she occupies with poise and boldness.

And when she leads worship in song…whew. You better be ready to be wrecked in God’s presence.

I’ve always admired her diligent pursuit of God. She’s living evidence of what it means to move from glory to glory. I’ve watched her chase after God for almost a decade now & her light stays on in good times and in hard times.

We’ve gone through some interesting seasons together. We’ve laughed together. We’ve cried together. I can count on her to see my humanity beyond all my titles. When you’re a leader, such people are rare treasure.

She’s a #DaughterDestinedForDominion. In her, I see what it means to #ownmyspace in ministry.

It matters to see women stand at the altar and minister faithfully to God & His people.

It matters to see women running their race wholly surrendered to God.

Because we’re living in a time when women are still being told their place is in the corner. Even in some corners of the Church.

Yet, something happens when women gather in God’s presence. Whether it’s 2, 20 or in their thousands. Something happens when women gather in the presence of God.

We come in as we are but we never leave the same. And when we’re transformed you better believe our homes, our schools, our workplaces and our churches are changed for the better.

It’s a gift to be a woman. You’re a heroine – a shujaa – in every sense of the word.

There’s plenty in this world and even in certain church circles that would have you believe different.

But hear me – it’s a gift to be a woman.

Treasure it always. ❤️
