“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”

Meditation This Month

We live in a world that champions and celebrates speed.

But we belong to a kingdom that cherishes tarrying.

This is my invitation to you to be still.

Be still and know He is God.

Make room for Him in your mind, your heart, your life.

Set a timer on your phone if you need to.

To camp around this month’s Scripture and trust God to transform you from the inside out through the power of His word.

We will stay here till we overflow.

Why rush to the next fleeting thing when we have yet to grasp the ever present Eternal One?

Thankful For

May my heart always be given to thanksgiving. It’s a prayer I make over myself constantly.

I’ve learned how to see God’s goodness in all things by intentionally giving God thanks in all things. Having a posture of gratitude has changed my life so much so that I consider it to be one of my key pillars of faith.

Try it out for yourself. Stop and give God thanks for a few things each day. See the difference it makes and wonder why it took you so long to start doing it.
