I’m in awe of my daughter.
Of the little girl she is now and of the woman she will grow into in the future.
Years ago, while I was happily single, I asked God His heart and mind for family. I had no idea what I was walking into with that innocent inquiry.
One of the more personal revelations He gave me was that of the children I was going to have. I saw them owning their destinies and the tangible presence of God that overshadowed each one absolutely wrecked me.
It’s not just in the Bible that God speaks to women about their children’s destinies. Before they’re conceived. While they’re in the womb. After they’re born.
When I look at my tiny human I can already see glimpses of the woman God showed me she’s becoming. I almost laughed at the irony of the prophetic word she got during her dedication. It sounded like a biography of my own life.
And yet, the path God has her on is as different from mine as it is similar. She is the first born of a lineage God has spoken astounding things over.
I am in awe of my daughter. Of everything she is and all that she represents. There are days when I still can’t believe that out of all the women in the world, God chose me to raise her.
She is a #DaughterDestinedForDominion. It’s not wishful thinking on my part as her mother. It’s prophetic truth right from her Father in heaven.
She will forever be His. Her father and I are stewards constantly marvelling at who God has entrusted us with.
I will hold many titles before my time on earth is done. But mother will remain, by far, one of my most treasured ones.
